Fire Protection Engineer
Prerequisites include: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Fire
Protection Engineering from an ABET Accredited Engineering Program. Minimum of 7
years of fire protection engineering experience required. Must be capable of becoming
a Registered Professional Engineer. Primary Duties include: Detailed knowledge of
Model Codes and NFPA Standards, experience in loss control, capable of developing
a set of construction documents that meet all applicable codes, providing guidance
to clients concerning loss prevention and control. AutoCAD and HydraCad experience
and NICET Certifications are required.
