This is an important role with client-facing responsibility providing an opportunity to lead with excellence, one of our core values.  You will utilize your Revit, BIM and construction knowledge for the creation of high-quality documents our brand is known for which leads us to repeat clients.

This position involves: prototypical construction documentation; technical design; execution of prototype management schedules & processes; coordination with other professional disciplines in-house and out-of-house; and this person must have the ability to work within a collaborative team environment.  

For the first three months, the candidate will be challenged with learning and becoming familiar with the client processes.  While gaining this familiarity, the candidate will be challenged with providing engineering solutions to Field Consultants and Design Team’s problems.  This is where previous industry experience and expertise adds value for an immediate impact.  This role requires a REVIT savvy engineer or designer, which is the platform used for documentation and BIM development.  Candidate will draft and design mechanical and plumbing systems for use in roll-out programs and prototype updates.

By the end of the first year, candidate will have gained enough knowledge to become the go-to person for mechanical and plumbing design solutions for this national restaurant brand.  With this knowledge, HFA can market other sectors within this national restaurant chain and other QSR clients.  Infrequent travel will be required (a handful of trips annually) for face-to-face meetings at the client’s office.

The tasks performed include:
  • Attend weekly client phone calls, involving consultant teams and offering solutions to problems
  • Delivering prototypical plans within preset schedules
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines, vendors (equipment suppliers) and clients in order to execute work plans and gain industry knowledge.
  • A licensed professional mechanical engineer is preferred, but relevant experience of 5-7 years will be considered
  • Demonstrated prototypical construction document creation/design and management experience required.
  • Proactive, professional, timely, and detail-oriented approach to managing project schedules, and deliverables to exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas easily.
