HFA recently appointed Kevin Hayre to Team Lead of the Architectural Design Team in the Bentonville, AR studio. Before this appointment, Hayre spent more than 11 years at HFA leading a large-scale development client, which included cultivating a few of their programs from the ground up.

"I've had the pleasure of working with Kevin for a number of years and am excited about his new role. Kevin is committed to our purpose of supporting our client-partners and our culture code of developing his talented team. I've got no doubt that his passion for great design will make a big impression," said Dave Wilgus, CEO of HFA.

Hayre is excited about the potential within the region and Northwest Arkansas. With a substantial emphasis on looking for ways to reduce our footprint and reuse or reallocate existing spaces as much as possible, Hayre thinks there is plenty of potential for his new team to make a name for itself and hopes they do just that through cultivating client relationships and a continued dedication to providing exceptional client service.

Another industry that he is interested in delving into? Mixed-use developments. As cities grow and expand steadily, quality, well-designed, affordable housing is more critical than ever. Hayre and his team hope to leave an imprint on the fabric of the cities they work to support in the months and years ahead in this respect, as well.

Not only has Hayre spent time on the architectural design side of things, but he also has a considerable breadth of construction administration experience to call on when it comes to working cohesively with contractors in the field.

“Having spent a great deal of time in my past working in the construction industry, I find a have a unique perspective and take a different approach to my design projects. I like to work hand-in-hand with both the client and their contractor from day one. The most important part of any project, in my eyes, is surrounding yourself with a smart team of people who can help you make better and more informed decisions along the way. A true partnership is a project where everyone is included and committed to success from the very beginning” said Hayre.

Hayre says he is looking forward to building lasting relationships with regional clients and contractors so he and his team can partner with them and leverage the unique strengths and experiences his team brings to the table while leveraging the larger multi-disciplined team HFA has to offer, too.

Hayre concludes with, "I want a client to come to HFA and get the sense with my team that they're working with a small, dedicated firm that has the advantage of various discipline partners, whether it be MEP, Civil, or Refrigeration, rather than having to hire and manage multiple consultants. The client can feel like they're working with a smaller studio, but they can also feel confident knowing that they have that backing of the collective experience that HFA brings to the table."
