HFA’s holistic approach to PureTech Health’s new headquarters at Innovation Square (iSQ) in Boston’s Seaport district creates a workspace with a seamless connection between lab and office. By incorporating an abundance of glass walls to convey light and transparency, visitors are welcomed with a view into the lab to witness the discoveries taking place there.
The design of the space is dramatic and sophisticated featuring dark exposed ceilings, brick columns, deep grey walls. A centrally located café provides an outdoor garden experience with mossy wallcoverings and light fixtures resembling lanterns. Nearby, the staircase connecting PureTech’s two floors is a focal point of the space with rope-like features surrounding the open stair.
Coinciding with the breathtaking design of the office and amenity spaces, all-black casework provides PureTech’s open lab with a stand-out design that is unique for the industry.
