St. Louis Heart and Vascular sought to integrate clinic and invasive cardiology services, shifting high-acuity procedures from hospital to outpatient setting. The group selected adaptive reuse of a two-story office building near SSM DePaul Medical Center. The facility delivers comprehensive cardiac care across two levels. The first floor features the state's first hybrid catheterization lab licensed as an Ambulatory Surgery Center, with prep and recovery areas. The second floor houses clinics, diagnostics, and treatment services. Work included full interior renovation, stair relocation, new elevator, and structural upgrades. 8 private prep/recovery rooms (convertible to sleep study with murphy beds)
8 clinical exam rooms
Pulmonary function testing, stress testing, echo rooms
Digital radiology, vascular ultrasound
Nuclear medicine (including hot lab and infusion areas)
Cardiac PET/CT (64 slice)
External counter pulsation treatment room
Endovenous laser treatment
Administrative offices and shared MD bullpen
